Ed Bouchette:

Ed Bouchette: Sorry, I must go. I have to go do my video blog, seen daily somewhere on this site. And, to answer those interested in why I wore a Red Sox cap the other day on the video, it was because I left my Celtics cap at home.

WTF is his problem. Is he a Pittsburgh fan or no?

He makes his living off of the Steelers. If it's fashionable to Pirates bash, it's no surprise that he'd be leading the pack.

How is being a Red Sox or Celtic fan "bashing" the Pirates? Is it a job requirement that an NFL coorespondant in Pittsburgh be a Pirates fan?

Don't think Bouchette would be in Pittsburgh at all by now, if not for the Steelers. He is too good a reporter/writer not to be on the national scene in some manner. The Steel success IMO, is the thing that keeps him here.

It's ok to be a fan of other baseball teams and be a sports writer in Pittsburgh but he doesn't have to stick in your face. Wearing a Boston hat and later bringing more attention to refering it is rubbing your face in it IMO.

He shouldn't do that in Pittsburgh papers.

He has football smarts galore, but his personality is as dry as burnt toast on the equator in the middle of July. That's why he writes for the PPG and only gets local TV spots. He's boring.

As for the "bashing" comment, I retract my previous statement.

The instrument hasn't been invented that could measure my indifference what Ed thinks of the Pirates.
