All right, here is the man's big chance, the shot he never fairly got before.

How do you rate his overall play so far?

Sample size on PEARCE part 3 are 23 Ab
s ,
No Hr's, No RBI's, and a nice supply of K's in there, 8 to be exact. Wow , that is 33 percent, good job , Stevey. BA reads at a mind a touch above 260.
I know his BA is higher than the previous mope who occupied the spot, but at least La Roche had a plan when he got to the plate.
La Roche, of course, failed on most of these occasions, but for Christ's sake, does Don Long even know if Pearce is a member of the team. If he does, Long needs to spend ALOT more time with this guy.

Also noticed that the Pirates MO at the plate is to ALWAYS get the count in the pitchers favor. It seemed every batter tuesday had a 1 and 2 count, on every AB.

Pearce has no idea where he is trying to hit the ball.

I think his glove is fine, and there is definetly not a drop off from La Roche's glove with Pearce over there.

Still has that freaking wild swing, it seems like he can be fooled by a crafty pitcher, with ease.
Give him another week, 25 more ab's.
Call up Milledge, and either bring up Lincoln or Mc Cutchen to start the next time VV was supposed to.

If anyone belongs pitching in AAA it's VV. At the least give SOMEBODY the same 4 starts he has pretty much wasted, and take it from there.
Pearce @ Moss are nothing more than AAA baseball players.

The highest upside they will ever reach is being a backup OF/1b .
Upside has left the building, with these 2 .
