Wendy is mowing down the Buccos with his tantalizing curve and nothing fastball.

They light him up second time through the line-up. The guy is a stiff.

Rodriguez is really not much to talk about. He throws fastballs over the heart of the plate at perfect hitting speed (85-88 mph). His curve is pretty good, but he does not throw it for a strike. The lousy weather certainly makes hitting more difficult but for heaven's sake, they need to drive this guy out of the game.

Shut out for five innings by a complete stiff.

This seasoni, the Pirates have thrown away a lot of at bats and innings before the offense gets going. Enough already.

Rodriguez is no stiff. He was an average pitcher last year, and he had a sub 3.00 ERA coming into this game.

I wish our entire staff was as average as W-Rod. Hell, I'd take one of our guys to have his stuff.

Rodriguez does not throw hard enough to break a pane of glass. His slow curve is his best pitch, but he is Chris Peters-like in his "stuff." Guys like that throw a few good games, then get blasted out of the league.

Finally, Rodriguez is smaller than the average lawn jockey. Left-handed midget with an 86 mph fastball. Wandy batting against Dumatrait in the game:

Wow, no wonder the Pirates could not score a run off this stud.
