And I hope you get a fastball to the earhole.

Now, there's the difference between people. One has some character and class and the other.....

You guess who is the good guy here. Hint- he keeps his jersey tucked in after the game.

I grew a major dislike for them last season when they were crying about CC Sabathia not getting credit for a no hitter...

They were in the middle of a wild card race and their offense dried up like Prince Fielder's mini bar in his hotel room and the manager was crying about a no hitter...you won the game move on and get set for the next game...

Prince Fielder is still very young, so he can get away with being extremely heavy. When he gets to 29 years old and older, his giant belly is going to get in the way of his bat, as his bat slows down a bit. By the time he is 30, he will be a shell of the hitter he is now.

There have been remarkably few fat guys who hit into their 30's.* By the time he was 30, for example, Boog Powell was on the way to the bench. He had exactly one good year after the age of 29.

Cecil Fielders' last good season was at age 32. He was out of baseball by age 34.

So, Prince, enjoy it while you can. You have a short shelf-life.

*Babe Ruth is the exception. He pounded the ball until he was 38.

"Only two things stand between Boog Powell and Cooperstown: a knife and fork."

But the Booger had class. I loved the Booger. Prince has a thing or two to learn. I have developed a big Brewer hate too.

Ah, but the Babe was not fat as a young player like the other guys on your list. Plus, as everyone knows, Babe Ruth was a space alien.

Good point. As a young pitcher, Ruth was pretty slim.

And everybody knows that pitchers are the best and most fit athletes on the team.

No disrespect meant to the Booger. He was a darn good hitter before his weight issues caught up with him. Prince Fielder, on the other hand, is a guy who has tremendous talent, but who does not seem to appreciate the fact that he is a very temporary occupant of a sport that dates back to when Abraham Lincoln was still in office.

I agree 100% about Prince Fielder's future. I just thought I'd add one to your list of exceptions: Tony Gwynn was quite portly toward the end of his career and he could still hit a little. ;)

He had a great eye...and probably could still hit .300 in the Majors...

He was a thin guy early on too...
