What year will it take you to totally lose all faith in the current administration?
My year is 2011.

2012. I think 5 years is good enough to be able to get things going.

Infinity, I will never give up on the Pirates and If Huntington
does not get the job done in the front offices eyes, it will be someone
else. I hate football and the Steelers, and the Penguins season does
not interfere with the Bucs so never. Every season will come in April
and I will always get rev'ed up. If they don't win there is always
next season. Its the Pirates and everyone else in baseball. I do not
like other baseball teams and have a strong passion against them when
the play the Bucs. A true fan should never give up on their team no
matter how bleek the situation is. Nad69dan has a saying "we will keep
the bandwagon warm for those jump off and back on later." I agree 100%
with that statement. Those who don't are just foolish Steeler lovers and
Yinzers.

I totally agree with this 100%, but I think Ryann was talking about the current administration only (hopefully). I too will give them until 2012. If the plan fails, you gotta hold someone responsible I suppose.

He is talking about the Coonelly/Huntington era, and if this current administration does turn out to be another dud you have to give up on it at some point. When Cam Bonifay and Dave Littlefield both came i'm sure everybody thought there changes were going to make a difference.
I'm sure there is a date when if things don't start clicking everyone will start giving up on the Coonelly/Huntington era. It isn't giving up on the Pirates and i think that is what Ryann's post is being confused for.
I wont ever give up on the Pirates, but there will be a date that if we haven't made any progress that i will give up on Coonelly and Huntington.

You are right. We should never dare give up on the current administration. We should never speak out even if managment doesn't put up a winning season before their deaths.

The question is the year of the administration that you will give up. Not the team, but rather the management.
No one is totally throwing away the team.
If you will support the managment for life after a long amount of losing seasons you are CRAZY.

And speaking out about it does nothing either. No one hears you but those who read this board,
and believe me the Management does not read these message boards. If these guys don't get it
done someone else will be brought in, and the process will start over again with a slightly better
foundation to start with. The reason I said infinity is because I don't care who the GM, President or
owner is, what matters is what the players do on the field. Nothing effects that but the players.

If a mass amount of fans are speaking out against management it will lead to their demise.
