It's just sad that this cermeonial pitch is getting as much, or more, attention than the game itself.

And just to be clear, I'm a Democrat who has no axe to grind with The President. I just find this whole cult of personality surrounding him to be nauseating and really unbecoming of a lot of people.

That's because the game itself is stupid. Even baseball fans have a tough time finding enough interest to watch the game.

Geez, there are probably 50,000 cell phone vids out there of the first pitch shot from 50,000 different angles. I thought the throw was very safe and a bit awkward, but he gets big props for going mound to plate on the fly.

Yeah, but i was burning in front of the Tv, thinking i would be watching something, maybe historical, or very amusing.
I wanted to see it at the precise moment it happened. clearly, with no obstructed view. on my 60 inch hi def tv.

Am i asking too much???

Since when is it hard for a grown man, or anyone, to throw a baseball 60 feet?

Some day, my friend, you will grow old some day and find out!

My biggest probably would probably not even be the throw but having to stop on the way out to the mound to go to the bathroom.

I will always be able to throw a baseball 60 feet. It is nothing.

Ryann when i was 14-18 i was throwing upwards to 90 and coaches and scouts warned me that i didn't need to be throwing that hard just because i could, because it would come back to get me later in my life, and it has already started and i am a week before my 22nd birthday. When i stretch out and i move my arms left to right and back and forth you can hear the fluid in my right shoulder. I don't reallly want to think what awaits me by the time i am 60.

I can't believe this thread exists, actually.

Another pol throws out a first pitch that bounces to the plate... woohoo.

Bet that'll save Detroit.
