Seven inning complete game shutout for Snell.

Positive thoughts!

Crap ... I mean, yeah. Sorta. I guess.

He is now convinced, beyond repair, that the problems were with the Pirates major league team and had nothing to do with him. He goes to AAA and spins 14 innings in 2 starts, giving up just 7 hits, 2 walks, 0 earned runs, while recording 23 K's.

Is there any chance in hell that he now works on "fixing" the defects in his approach?

Time to fire Kerrigan and make Snell a player/pitching coach

I hope this could bring some trade value for him, i don't think he will ever be good in the majors again.

It is amazing what $3M will get you in Triple-A...

This is great news. Some team is going to go after him soon. Granted that team will have a very well maintained pitcher's mound and superior catchers. Sad thing is, I think he will do well on another team. The kid has talent. Too bad it will never work again in Pittsburgh.

NH start burning the phones, wake up Tracy, get Ruben Amaro and OMAR away from the Pinata, and answer the phone.

It's simple, you offer Snell to any/all of these starting pitching starved teams along with someone say Pearce or Bixler. And in return, you only want back their starting either AAA or double A shortstop.

Yes or no, if the answer is NO, then just move on.

Ideally, the AAA ss is closest to the majors, but the AA guy might be kind of blocked, therefore he may be the better pick, provided he can honestly be a member of the 2010 team.
NH, go down the list, Phillies, mets, giants , rockies , braves, cubs, , and that's just the NL.
I think the white sox, tigers, mariners, rangers, angels, twins , blue jays , and maybe even NY, in the AL, would be willing to at least hear NH read back the stats from his last 2 starts at INDY.
He's gotta go this week, no later than thursday, since that his his next scheduled start.
Don't let him make another pitch for the Pirates organization. Make the deal NOW.

Time to draw the line.
