Why aren't they pulling him in favor of a PH, with a 5-0 deficit??

Why is Ohlendorf hitting? Look at the Pirates bench. He is the best hitter they have right now.

I think i heard Russellsaying that by letting the Righty hitting Ohlendorf hit, Fredi Gonzalez would bring in a lefty to face him. I think that may have stunned him , and for the rest of the game, he just managed like he was in a fog, like most of the time, but it was in the mid 90's and sunny in Miami on sunday.

I guess he wasn't counting on Nolasco to remain in the game to pitch to a righty batter.

Oh well, Small market Johnnie can't outmanage every other manager ALL the time. This move, or lack of it, just backfired on him this time.

If i was Cecil Cooper, i would be hugging THE BOOK right now, because you know SMJ has other tricks up his sleeve vs HOUSTON, and Cecil may find himself on the short end of SMJ genius of running a major league baseball team.

Good luck Cecil, do the best you can to match wits with the Pittsburgh version of the Desert fox.
