Ever been to an ASU game pitched by righthander Seth Blair? If so, what were your impressions?

My wife and I just watched him go the full nine innings in a 5-1 win in a Cape Cod League game. Pretty impressive. I didn't keep a scorebook, but if I recall correctly he gave up only one hard-hit ball -- a double -- and walked no more than two. Most batted balls never left the infield. The other team was down to its last strike when the third baseman and shortstop collided trying to catch a popup, which fell to the ground. That rattled Blair a little, and he promptly gave up another hit and threw a wild pitch, but came back to get the final out without further damage.

If he stays healthy, he should be one of ASU's best starters next year.

He pitched some for ASU this year. Murphy, IMHO, doesn't do a very good job with his handling of pitchers. I don't think he used his bullpen enough during the season and thus, when he gets to the CWS, runs out of pitchers he has confidence in and the results of the last few years speak for themselves.
