Trade for Dodgers prospect, Scott Van Slyke. Trade for Phils prospect, Kyle Drabek.
The fireworks lovers would say "idn't that neat that they traded that Zack Dukes for Andy's boy and some other minor leaguers"

I wouldn't expect a massive dropoff in attendnace if the Pirates completed the fire sale by shipping out Freddy Sanchez, Matt Capps, Adam Laroche, and Jack Wilson. Pirate fans don't identify too closely with players anyway as there really isn't anyone on the team that is worth getting too attached to (maybe Bay was that guy, but not so anymore). Most fans go to the games recreationally, it is just something to do. As long as there are promotions, attendance will not suffer that much. The Pirates have dealt with attendance issues through 16 years of losing, they have gotten pretty good at promoting a major league bottom feeder.

I would be very sad to see Jack go, but at this point he is the only one.

If Junior Van Slyke plays with a 10th of the heart that his Daddy played, I'll welcome him to our farm system.
