9-1 with a 1.90 era and .85 whip. He has not surrendered a run in the last 26 innings. last night, 6 shutout innings on 7 hits. He was discussed on the pregame show with Stark on Sunday.

Roo-dee, Roo-dee, Roo-dee!

I love the part when everyone is chanting Rudy and the head coach is getting po'd and then one of the assistant coaches starts chanting along under his breath.

Seriously, that was one of Rudy's bad games last night compared to what he's been doing. 7 hits in 6 innings, sheesh!

What pregame show are you talking about?

Stark said that they did not feel a need to move him up. They wanted him to have the stability of being in one place and not have to make another environmental adjustment in mid season. He did not give a lot of detail in the interview. He did say they were very high on him. He is still very young, only 21. He was signed out of the last draft and follow JUCO year. Did you know he pitched here at Mesa Community College? I met his agent and spoke at length with him a couple of times during my son's JUCO season this past spring. His agent and one of my son's teammate's father are acquaintances. He was a really good guy and very open about discussing the game and his involvement in baseball. Very enlightening.
