Does anyone have a list or link to the free agents available after this season? I'd be Ok if the Pirates traded Wilson and/or Sanchez (if the price was right) if the Pirates upgraded via free agency during the off-season.

Looking at that list of free agents, I think I'd be holding on to both of them

That is one of the worst lists of free agents I have ever seen. Good heavens, Omar Vizquel is one of the youngest and best hitting SS's on that pathetic list.

I find it humorous that they feel a need to bolden the Boros clients.

What would it take to get Jimmy Rollins? He's struggling and Philly is looking for pitching...

Wow after seeing that list i agree. There isn't anybody at SS or 2B that is under the age of 30. The only names that even draw any interest from me are Akinori Iwamura(but he has a club option) and Felipe Lopez( but he is rumored that he is going to be involved in a trade to the Brewers). That is a horrible list of free agents.
The only players under 30 currently that are upcoming free agents i have listed below.
Carl Crawford (28) - $10MM club option with a $1.25MM buyout
Wily Mo Pena (28)
Rocco Baldelli (28)
Hank Blalock (29)(will be 30 in November)
Daniel Cabrera (29)(i believe his age is wrong, i think he just turned 28)
Rich Harden (28)
Brett Myers (29)(will be 30 in August)
Mark Prior (28)
Chad Cordero (28)

If Aki is available, I would love to see him as a Bucco. The Rays may not exercise their option as they have Brignac waiting in the minors and they need to find an everyday position for Ben Zobrist. If Aki is healthy, grab him. He would be the best 2B the Bucs have had since Chico Lind.

Harden, Crawford, Baldelli, and Blalock are the only real promising free agents under 30 from your list, and Blalock is a stretch...

I wouldnt touch Prior or Cordero, I'm afraid their arms would fall off shaking hands during the press conference announcing his signing

You really bring up what is to me the most pressing issue with this team right now- middle infield. I have been scouring mlb and milb for 2B and SS for months. I'm wondering if we may best be served by reupping both Jack and Freddy. What would it cost?

Freddy has the option and I think you let it go into effect with his plate appearances or possible all star trip...

With Jack I dont know...His recent comments the last month on the trades might A) once his contract is up, say he's done with the Pirates B) Neal is just waiting for a deal for player that looks like a SS to hold down the fort until Friday is ready

Brian Friday had a big home run lastnight for the Curve
