That is remarkable. Last night, Gorzellany went 5 innings and fanned 12. Therefore, in the last 8 innings by Indy starters, the opponent has fanned 21 times.

That is ridiculous. Indy is playing Toledo, the Tigers' farm team. That club clearly has trouble putting the ball in play.

Yeesh. Snell is going to make this tough on the Pirates.

I hope his next three or four starts are exactly like this one with him pitching lights out. Then we can trade his ass and get some good prospects for him.

Lead-off runner on as Adam Laroche crushes a base hit for the 3rd straight time. All of those balls were just smoked.

Don't look now but he just fanned two more -- 15.

That is unbelievable. He walked the lead-off guy then fanned 13 in a row. I cannot believe any pitcher could do that against a AAA team.

This means 3 things.
1. He has a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove everyone wrong.
2. Outings like this get attention of league and his trade value soars.
3. Outings like this might make the Pirates bring him back up soon.

Make it 16 K's, this one on a foul tip held by the catcher.

The only run off him was unearned, and he walked just one - the first hitter of the game. Seriously, an amazing game. No negativity about that performance.

I view this as a bad thing. Snell needed to go down and be humbled. Now, he'll be saying, "See, I told you that if you let me do it my way, I could perform."

So you rooted for him to fail.

There is nothing bad in anyway about this performance.

I agree, this start shows nothing, other than he's a major league pitcher pitching in AAA. Where was this skill or aggressiveness the last year and a half?
