So,he has no trade value with the salary we have obligated to him. No one willing to pay the rest of this year and the 4+ for next for a guy who has head problems. But SP is something that everyone needs and wants. So........

Maybe there is someone out there who is willing to pay half his guarantee and take a chance. If so, we don't lose the whole salary and we're rid of him. BTW, he would be happier too.

Solution? Thoughts?

I'm not sure what you do with him. Maybe it's because of the lack of a strong family upbringing but he needs to grow up. It was always someone elses fault with him. After his last start it was the pitching plan and Joe Kerrigan. As if he was ordered to pitch from behind in the count.

Now he gets demoted and it's the fans fault for being negative. Well Ian...please know that us fans wouldn't be nearly as negative if you would accept some personal reponsibiloty and throw an occasional first pitch strike. The guy actually had the nerve to say he had nothing to work on in Indy. How can you help a guy like that?

Maybe the Mets would be imterested in another Ollie.

Two managers and three pitching coaches, and the fans are all at fault? After all this and his refusal to accept responsibilty or make adjustments. Sometimes you just can't reach a person no matter how hard you try. It's time to cut the ties that bind him.

I say just let him go to Indy and try to work things out. Considering his contract, we can't give up on him, but I wouldn't give up on him even if he didn't have the contract.

Don't get rid of him!

I still think he has the talent to be a very good pitcher. He will work things out. Then we can trade him when he works his value up.

I think the only reason we don't just dump him is because they don't want it to look like they made that bad of a mistake with the extension they gave him.
If they do it could be known as the worst move in the Huntington era so far.
