Long Time lurker here....waaaay back from the old days and 2 boards ago and DK (No. 12) was a member of the board. I seldom post but have a quick question that I know someone will have an answer for:

I typically am not a big fan of fireworks games...but I digress....

We have some out of town friends coming into town and want to take them to a game this summer. We are planning on going to the August 8 Skyblast and concert game. Can anyone provide details on the best location for seats? Where will the band typically set up and what direction will they face? Is there an actual stage that we should face? Also, I assume that the fireworks will be put off from the river beyond right field. Is this correct. The girls we are bringing are huge fans of the band, so we want to sit in a good location for them. Any details are greatly appreciated!

I'd say try to sit on the third base side for the best view of the fireworks.

They typically set up the stage somewhere between 2nd and 3rd base. I would suggest sitting either behind either dugouts or higher up near the broadcast booth. And for good parking, I'd strongly suggest getting there early.

I like sections 20-27 if you aren't looking to break the bank. I took my mom, dad, and girlfriend last year to see the Lynard Skynard concert after the Pirates and Astros games and i sat it section 24 and it was great. It didn't break me either to buy 4 tickets there also. It was a great view and i great time. Don't wait too much longer to buy tickets though unless you are going to go through ebay because good seats for concert games get gone fast.

I sit in 113. Great view of the game behind 1b dugout and HP. Great view of City Skyline. Great view of fireworks.
