Jeff Locke, obtained in the McLouth trade, went 6 innings last night, giving up 6 hits, 0 walks, 3 K's, 0 earned runs. He earned the victory in a 4-3 Lynchburg victory.

Pedro Alvarez continued his torrid hitting, going 3-4. He has gone 9 for his last 16, with 2 2B's, 2 HR's, 6 RBI's, 2 BB's and 5 K's.

Bryan Morris won his second start on Thursday. He went 5 innings, giving up 3 hits, 2 runs. He walked 4 and K'd 3. He is now 2-1 on the year, but has walked 8 in 14 innings. As his control improves, he will be able to go more than 5 innings. Right now, the pitch count limits are going to keep him from going deep into games when he is walking guys.

If I remember correctly, the experts say that the pitcher's stuff comes back faster than his control does after TJ surgery. I have a feeling we're going to have to be quite patient with Morris. Fingers crossed.

Pedro has a 1.093 OPS in his last ten games. Think he gets the call up to AA soon?

Morris had the TJ surgery in 2007. His first year back was last year. He has been hampered this year with shoulder problems. His control issues probably relate to the fact that he has just not pitched competitive ball until last week.

Ditto...I've been waiting to bring my son up to a game until later this season. I figured maybe with some luck I could catch a Lincoln pitched game AND see both Tabata and Alvarez!

I was hoping to see a game in Altoona with Lincoln pitching this year also.
