Dejan's blog says no Freddy starting today. Why does he rest Freddy so much. He's not so old he needs to sit so much. He's not playing poorly. I don't understand. It makes it look like they are intentionally trying to save money by limiting his ABs so his bonus doesn't kick in.

Thoughts?? I'm upset with JR, are you?

Not really.

Playing on turf beats the hell out you....especially middle infielders who are on the move so much. Freddie is doing a great job, and I see no diabolical reasons for giving him a break.

Freddie will get his at bats.

Especially ones with a genetic weakness in an ankle that has already fractured.

I think this is the fifth game has not started. He is on pace for over 700 plate appearances so the contract isn't even a factor right now.

No problem sitting him for a day game after a night game. It was also on the road, so that makes it easier to rest someone like Freddy. It is good for them to have breaks and they are less likely to break down by seasons end.
