That's what I figured but I was thinking maybe they elevated him as a DH. I hope he can stay healthy and has a great 2nd half.

Sounds like things are working out for him at DH.

Boston or the Yankees will really enjoy him when he becomes an All-Star and we trade him for prospects and a box of balls. :D

In other words, more than we gave up to get him.

Tabata winds up going 2-4 with two runs scored and a RBI as the Curve beat New Britain 6-4 for their third win in a row.

Was he the player of the game tonight?

bring Tabata up and put a Pirate uniform on him......this team's offense is at best consistently inconsistent..... :?

WAY too early to bring Tabata up..he has missed over half the year with hamstring issues and quite honestly, had his first decent game of the season last night.

BTW, for what its worth, Jonel Pacheco was the player of the game. The 26 year old went 4-4 while 26 year old Jason Delaney had two hits and two RBI's.

I caught some of the game, it seems like Pacheco isnt too bad of a ball player...any possibility of him ever seeing time as a reserve in the Majors?

He's pretty much an organizational player at this point in his career. He should be in Triple-A, but they don't have any room for him.

How did the broadcast sound last night??

I really need to get off my butt on a free night and try to catch a game in Blair County Ball Park...I'm only 40 minutes away in Johnstown here...

I was working in Altoona in March and April before I took on too much and had to drop my real job to run my side projects...It was always a nice site seeing the ballpark in the morning on I-99 at 55mph

I haven't paid too much attention to Tabata, but I heard about his slow start...the guy is only 20 or 21 or something, and he had that incident where his wife got caught up in some kidnapping scandal. Knowing his mental makeup, I'm going to guess that it affected him on the field. Regardless, I agree, way to early to bring him up.
