Well, it's about to begin......it sounds like a movie......kind of is, like Thirteen Days in September or D Day the 6th of June.

I hope this movie is not about the demise of the 2009 Pirates.....like a repeat or a bad sequel........

3 games with the Tigers, Twins, Indians, and Royals

main concern again is the Pirate offense shutting down...... :?

Bucs will go 8-4 in these 12 games!

We sure have been destroyed with these inter-league games for the last several years. Maybe this year will be different.

Let's hope for 500 in the next four series. Would that require a miracle? Thoughts?

This is interesting. I think the week to 10-12 days will make a huge difference. It is going to be difficult to to trade everyone who is good (Adam, Freddy, Jack, etc) if they are close to 500 in another week.

It's very interesting. Day 2 of the draft has also got me pretty excited as well if they step up and sign these guys.

I don't think 500 requires a miracle. The Pirates are very good defensively, far better than last year and the pitching tends to keep us close. Some timely hitting and getting Adam hitting at all would put us at 500.

If the pirates get hot and say win 5 out of their next 6 they will be .500. This will be huge and still let the Pirates have a sense of competivity.

This is what the rest of June looks like for us.

Tigers at home: 3 games
Twins on road: 3 games
Rockies on road: 3 games
Indians at home: 3 games
Royals at home: 3 games
Cubs at home: 2 games

I think the Rockies in the Middle will be a nice break for us, but this is how i have them finishing up the month.

Tigers at home: 1-2
Twins on road: 0-3
Rockies on road: 2-1
Indians at home: 1-2
Royals at home: 2-1
Cubs at home: 0-2

So i have us going 6-11 for the rest of June, and in the 4 interleague series mentioned i have us going 4-8.

Rockies on road: 1-2
Indians at home: 2-1
Royals at home: 2-1
Cubs at home: 2-0

I'll think positive 10-7

I think everybody is agreeing that the Twins series is going to be rough on us. Everything else we have disagreed on.

The Rockies are on a bit of a hot streak right now. Looks like we missed the boat on Jim Tracey!

The Bucs history makes this stretch remind me of the teenage girl walking down Elm St., with Freddy Krueger hiding behind every tree.

If we missed the boat it's because it sank. Probably by not knowing how to navigate in even calm waters.

With the thin air in Colorado there's a good chance of a few Pirates hitting homeruns in that series...

I still believe there's a few Josh Fogg HR balls floating in orbit above Denver...

We've been catching breaks with our timing, with a lot of key players being injured when we face their teams.

With the Tigers I think we catch a break with their starting pitching, because we miss their 2 best guys. The matchups are Porcello vs. Snell, Glarragga vs. Duke, Ohlendorf vs. Willis.

I'm hoping it is just like when an NFL teams puts in a back up QB and he does good for awhile, then he tanks it. I want to see the Rockies tank it.

Good series for the Bucs! I'm right so far, Bucs taking 2 of 3 from the Tigers. They need to play tough on the road now and prove me wrong with my prediction against the Twins.

Well i was wrong so far. We took 2 out of 3 against the Tigers and i had us only taking 1. So that is a big plus! :D
So i have us going 5-7 in interleague for June now. I hope the Twins series isn't as bad for us as i see it being.

So far I've been right with the Tigers and Twins series. Now on to Colorado. I hope I'm not right with my prediction against the Rockies. Of course I said that about the Twins series but my beloved Buccos didn't disappoint me........ :?

Good job so far bassoon. I think you are the only one that predicted June right so far.

Well, other than the Rockies series where the Bucs were swept and I predicted they would win at least one game....geesh.....I've been right so far. That makes me very happy because the Pirates are doing pretty good! Now, let's put some hurt on those Royals! :)
