Walker was held down to long, lincoln is being held down, alvarez should be called up, any word on tabata is he in AAA yet? But eldred he never got to get consistent big league time after wasting away in the minors.
Wait steven pearce tore up the minors does ok in one month in the majors and never gets and more chances.

This had to be the most mind numbing post I've read on this board.

I'm sure Lincoln would have enjoyed coming off Tommy John Surgery going right into the Pirates Rotation...

I can just picture another Lincoln getting killed in Washington...

Ryann's philosophy: everyone should be called up to the majors, regardless of how well they've performed.

Which is pretty hard to reconcile with his other philosophy, which is that trading for prospects is stupid because minor leaguers all suck.

No one said that what the Pirates did during the past 17 years did work. What we are saying is that what has been done w/in the last 2 years will likely work. We are also saying that your philosophy would be roundly rejected by every other team in MLB.

Now now Please no insults. This is a peaceful board. Wilton stated I have a philosphy and I would like to have a valid answer to what I have ever said my philosphy to be.

It was implied. By saying that all the aforementioned players had been held down too long, you appear to say that every player deemed a prospect should be rocketed through the minors, regardless of whether they've shown themselves to be ready to move on to the next level.

No not what I said. I spoke that the top talents should be pushed through the minors aggresivly. Guys like Griffey and Upton didnt sit in the minors forever.
Now Wilton do you want to know my philosphy.

Not particularly, but I'm sure you're going to tell us anyway.

Why do we have to cop an attitude when we disagree with somebody on this board? Ryann is a Bucs fan and that makes him OK in my book. Let's agree to disagree.

Many of you gents should admit to yourselves that you miss Bullish. You're looking for someone to spar with (grammar!) and Bullish is not here.

Hope you're enjoying your day, Colin!!
