Pirates' lineup:

4. Adam LaRoche, 1B
5. Andy LaRoche, 3B
6. Moss, RF
7. Jaramillo, C
8. Wilson, SS
9. Duke, P

Mets' lineup:

1. Castillo, 2B
2. F. Martinez, LF
3. Wright, 3B
4. Sheffield, RF
5. Tatis, 1B

No Beltran again and that is OK by me! Now if he could just sneeze on Santana before gametime...

Duke has pitched two good innings. Seven batters two hits and a DP.

All seven hitters had strike on first pitch and all seven were called strikes. If that's not a lesson in pitching what is? Why do all the Mets take strike one?

That sounds like a Little League Philosophy...

Jarimillo looked great on the tag play at the plate and after three the Mets are scoreless. Go Duke

Duke is no Santana but 4 innings and no runs yet. We'll get to him soon.

Maybe

Great double and hustle by Freddy, but you have to think we would have scored a run there if Nyjer had hustled that ball out that hit off of David Wright.

Crushed by Jaramillo. What a great time for him to hit his first!

I'll be very surprised if the Pirates can score one run against Santana.

As soon as I was ready to post this, JJ hits a HR!

ok......I might as well say now that I'll be very surprised if the Pirates can beat Santana........ 8-)

Santana might be losing his cool. We could be the first team to really get to him this year. He looks to be getting shaken up.

Nyjer is being stupid. He was out, and he is mad because in the last month he has forgot how to play major league baseball.

In this run environment (1-1 with Duke on the mound), I still try to bunt Sanchez to third and play for a single run. Just me but I get ahead here.

Wow we are getting to Santana. I don't have alot of faith in the Mets bullpen either. We could break this open.

Tell you what . . . I don't care about the records . . . I don't care about the owners . . . the attendance for a pitcher's duel between Santana and Duke is a bit disappointing.

What is the cheapest seat at PNC? At GABP here, there are a limited edition of "view level sets" available for most games for $5, followed by bleacher seats at $7.

The Pirates have a winning record at home this year. A Tuesday night and Santana coming to town? I would be there in a heartbeat if I lived in Pitt.

Just had a thought . . . is there a Stanley Cup game tonight in Pittsburgh? Didn't think of that when I wrote my first post.

There's probably more poeple sitting outside the igloo right now...The sad part is the Bucs may have a better chance to win tonight than the Pens.

Wow. Good stab by Santana there
