Who is your favorite non-Pirate? I'd say my favorite player to watch the past two seasons has been Adam Jones of Baltimore. He is such a fun CFer to watch play both offensively and defensively. He's young and will probably be a huge star someday soon.

Justin Upton. He's on pace to hit 40 doubles, 30 homeruns, 10 triples, and steal 20 bases. And to put that into perspective, he's 6 months YOUNGER than Pedro Alvarez.

If I had to pick just one guy, I would probably go with Albert Pujols...but I will do you one better.

Here is my favorite NON-PIRATE lineup!

C Joe Mauer
1B Albert Pujols
2b Brandon Phillips
3b Ryan Zimmerman
SS Jimmy Rollins
LF Jason Bay
CF Grady Sizemore
RF Michael Cuddyer

SP CC Sabathia
RP Mike Gonzalez

These are all just a bunch of guys I enjoy watching and always watch the box scores for them.

I agree with Animal. Pujols is a great player, but he is also, apparently, a truly good guy. It's the combination that makes him my favorite. And, I also think that Bay has to be high on the list. Not as good a ballplayer as Pujols, but also a good guy.

Another good question is "Who is your least favorite?" Although I reserve the right to change my mind, I'm going to start with Prince Fielder or Ryan Braun. (Lots of other good candidates on that team too.)

I believe Pujols is on Roids.. but that is my assumption only.

I like Victor Martinez, Longoria, Fielder, Kinsler, Cantu, Reyes, Asdrubal Cabrera, Nelson Cruz, Vernon Wells, Hamels, Lester, Gallardo, Carpenter, Frankie Francisco and Soria, but only because that is the core of my fantasy team.

Living in NYC, I watch a lot of Mets and Yankee games, and I do enjoy watching the likes of Johan and Mariano because they truly exemplify excellence (and class).

As the Redsox qualify as my "AL team," I love to see JBay, Youk, Pedroia and Paps do their work so well.

I'm not going to count Pujols because he is the best player in baseball. So my 5 are Jason Bay, Asdrubal Cabrera, Alfonso Soriano, Juan Pierre, and Josh Hamilton. That isn't in any order though.
If i have to put them in order it would probably be...

#1 Jason Bay
#2 Alfonso Soriano
#3 Juan Pierre
#4 Asdrubal Cabrera
#5 Josh Hamilton

I didn't put any pitchers in my favorites.

Evan Longoria, Jason Bartlett and Akinori Iwamura.

With Markakis and now Nolan Reimold on either side of him, the whole Orioles outfield is pretty damn likable. And their average age is 24.

Iwamura is the man. I am still mad he got hurt.

Clayton Kershaw and Lincecum are probably my favorite guys.

Oliver Perez (1-2 9.97 ERA) is still my main man though I'm following every start by Zack Greinke these days. Love JBay still!!

Jason Bay would be #1. My respect for him has gone to another level since he came to Boston and handled it all so well. In the American league it's probably Jeter or Pedroia as #2 or #3.

Nate McLouth. Who would've thought that when this thread started?
