Cecil Cooper was quoted as saying he's been wanting to get Miguel Tejada a day off, but he keeps hitting. Planned day off be damned, a guy who's 8 for 9 in the series the first 2 games shouldn't sit in game 3. Russell deserves any criticism he gets for this.

The WGN announcer said that if he was hitting the ball like Sanchez the manager would have to go down fighting to keep him off the field. He said it is inexcusable.

Yeah, but he was cooling off. He went only 2-3 on Tuesday after his 6-6 on Monday. He obviously needed the rest.
