Good ole baseball on WGN. Can't bite the hand that feeds, it is one of the only times of the season I get to see the Bucs on TV (the others being the Cincinnati games and the various one that makes it on MLB Network), but have to put up with the typically-awful WGN announcers. These Sox ones do not seem near as bad as the Cubs ones I'm used to though.

Ohlendorf off to a great start. Needed to get something out of Nyjer's BB to start the game.

Freddy is slumping really badly right now. Gotta move him out of the # 2 hole. I'd like to see AnLaroche hitting there for a while.

Andy's defence seems to be of sufficient quality for JR to bench him again tomorrow.

It was a dangerous play for him to block third like he did, but thankfully it ended up being a nice defensive play on both brothers' ends.

And our owner counts his money in West Virginia.

Damn right I'm angry.

Management is sitting around a table counting their money and wondering what money that they can free up before the trade deadline passes. Until there is a MAJOR change in ownership, and someone that is willing to spent some money to get talent into Pittsburgh, this team is DOOMED !!!!

Pirates have no choice but to trade Wilson, Sanchez, Adam LaRoche, and Grabow. They are not going to be a .500 team next season either so they might as well get some talent from Double-A and Triple-A to augment the 2010-2012 roster. This ownership won't spend the money, I've accepted it so there's no use in trying to think of some grand plan where it is going to happen and 2010 becomes a World Series team.

Won't happen.............. EVER!
