Just to complete the line ups, the pitchers are Zach Duke (5-3, 2.84) vs. Gavin Floyd (2-4, 7.71).

Duke actually has a better batting average than Vazquez. Maybe Hinske should DH for Vazquez and let Zach bat...

If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd say JR is starting Vazquez just to stick it to those of us who dared question his decision last night. Luckily I'm not, so I'll just chalk this up to his love affair for the L-R thing and a needed(?) rest for Andy.

I see Freddy is starting over Delwyn though (sorry, couldn't resist).

I really thought Young would be our DH when we played in American League cities.

Wonder what Small Minded is thinking...

Unreal. Both AnLaroche and Young on the bench in favor of Hinske and Vazquez. Unreal. I'm sure we'll hear about how important it is to keep your bench guys fresh...

I don't like sitting players for rest in game 1 of a series, because if we get stomped there go our confidence.

Between this and the rumor that we're gonna intentionally draft a cheap scrub at 4 just so we can have the money to sign Sano gives me no hope that anyone in the organization knows what they're doing.

That is correct.

And there will be no hope for the organization,

until the organization has a change in ownership.

Period.

End of story.

Gee, I wonder if we are going to see a lefty reliever against this line-up? Sending up 4 consecutive left-handed hitters is not a great idea ...

It's all part of his master plan. Dupe them into a lefty reliever, then spring his trap,.................. Craig Monroe.

Of course we'll be down 4 runs by then, but it's the thought that counts.

Oh, and it's five consecutive lefties.

Cmon man, that's a little hard on Small Market Johnny:

After all, we have ONE WHOLE HIT through six innings against a pitcher the AL has had batting practice with this year!

Yes you're right. JR looks totally over matched at the plate.

Well this is different from last years series with the White Sox, because last years atleast had hitting even thought we got blown out in every game. The least we scored last year against the Sox was 2, and the least the White Sox scored was 8.

That's a small victory...I guess :) seriously we need some power. We also need to not swing on the 1st pitch. This is ridiculous.

To get power, you need to pay hitters.

Bob Nutting will never pay hitters.

Hey the Pirates will probably make sportscenter tonight, when they are talking about Gavin Floyd's 2 hitter.

Wow, what a new concept. Please, tell me more. Or, at least, repeat the same thing a few thousand times!

Jenks is a little bit better than Biemel and Tavarez also. Could be a long series.
