I don't think it's the Sox so much as it is interleague play in general. The Pirates don't have the bats to match up against most AL teams. But I agree that the past doesn't dictate how you will fare now. I just said to someone this morning that if they don't do well in this series they may never do well, because the Sox are awful right now. What happened before shouldn't matter. They should take advantage of a down team right now.
