I'll take the win, but Capps didn't impress me. Straight, 91 mph darts.

Walk thought that he was throwing better and I thought that the FSP gun had him at 94 and 95 a couple of times. Willingham wasn't fooled on that last pitch though.

Just checked game day, you're right, he did hit 95 a few times. That is a good sign.

Another interesting fact. This was only the Pirates' sixth one-run game of the season, least in MLB. They are now 2-4.

40 games in and the Pirates are 19-21. Last year after 40 games, the mighty Pirates led by offensive juggernauts Jason Bay and Xavier Nady were, you guessed it, 19-21.

Another interesting fact. The Nationals are the only team in baseball history that has lost 6 games in a row when scoring 5 or more runs in each game. Just heard that on the Brewers/Astros broadcast.

The pitchers show up tonight and their hitters take the night off. Tough to be a Nats fan right now - with the exception of getting to watch the Big Donkey night in/night out.

That says it all right there. I wish i could find out what the combined records of the teams we played last year at this point, and this year so far, because i wonder if we played better teams last year?

Well, we had lost 6 games to the Cubs by this time last year, but we hadn't yet played the Brewers so that's probably a wash. If you want to dig deeper than that, here's a link to last year's schedule/results: http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams ... ores.shtml

We are done with the Brewers this year, right?

I have no faith in Capps right now unless its a 3 run lead or higher...it seems like they tagged him lastnight, and he got lucky...

I wish someone could teach Morgan how to read a fly ball and run to where the ball is going to go when its hit to the OF...

Has anyone recorded any of these great catches made by McLouth this past week or so to send to that writer who said he sucked?

Rod, the Pirates are winning, and Moss is hitting so now you've resorted to calling the manager names over every detail of the game...If you're so good at managing why aren't you out there?

So you were on board with Freddy bunting early in the game, score tied at zero, runner on second base, and nobody out?

Your "accentuate the negative" style is always wearisome. It becomes downright offensive when the Bucs are winning.

Obviously you glossed right over my post on Gorzo being a good move by the organization when they called him up a few days ago. Since then he's pitched very well.

Never mind. Keep on hating.

Period.

How could anybody interpret that as being negative??

I didn't know the "interpretation police" would have their checkpoints set up at each and every one of my posts.

Not for anyone.

I think Rod just needs a big group hug. That should get rid of some of his negativity.

Don't get your panties in a wad. I was just having a little fun with you, in low-key form. No name calling or aspersions. Just quoted your earlier post.

I don't have a problem with negativity; I have a problem with stupidity. I have a problem with baseless complaining. I have a problem with wild accusations and having nothing to back up said accusations. I also have a problem with anti-intellectual rhetoric that comes from you every time someone points out your idiocy.

You're not going to stop? That's fine. Just realize that I will call you out for your idiocy every time you make an idiotic rant. Given what you have posted thus far, I expect to be rather busy this summer.

By the way, Mr. Spelling Police, you spelled "bloke" wrong.

Wrong again.

What you do, "Wilton", is called "ad-hominem" insulting. You attack the poster for a postion that goes against yours, but you make insults ("idiocy"), and name calling, as a regular part of your posting.

You are angry, "wilton", we get it. You are angry because you worship an ownership group who has proven to be the worst in all of sports, when it comes to winning and losing, and there is nothing you can do about it.

No leg you can stand on, nothing.

Wins and Losses, Wilton, Wins and Losses.

It shuts you up every time.

That's why I don't stop, because I'm right.
