We should rock him around somewhat.

Well, if there is minimal offense, this game could end up being under 2 hours tonight. This guy likes to work quick.

Nothing like an early walk to get things going.

This umpire's strike zone is about as big as a shoe box.

Here we go ... the confounding 86 mph fastball and rolling, lollipop curve are too much. More than a few eminently mediocre pitchers give the Pirates fits. Hence, the STBHOF.

How does Morgan not score on that play?

What's to discuss. It's totally stupid. End of discussion.

Small Market Johnny gives the nats a free out, takes the bat out of his best players hands, and assures a leadoff double goes to waste.

I don't mind the sacrifice if he is on first, but I agree it's stupid just to get him to third. He already is in scoring position.

Agree. This discussion has been dealt with a number of times. A runner on second with no outs has a better chance of scoring than a runner on third with one out.

I don't even like it if he is on first. Its the third inning against the friggin Nationals. No reason to be playing for one run.

I hate it if he's on first. But I totally dispise it with him on second. Freddy is a contact hitter. Hit it and let morgan score.

This game is really going pretty slowly. Pirate defense this inning does not help Maholm. Andy muffs a dribbler, and Freddy got to the infield single and could not make the throw.

Maholm still dancing between the raindrops and gets out of the inning. He has a lot of K's but has thrown a ton of pitches through 3 (61). He needs to throw strike one and get guys out quick the next few innings.
