Pirates' lineup:

1. Morgan, LF
2. Sanchez, 2B
3. McLouth, CF
4. Monroe, RF
5. Adam LaRoche, 1B
6. Diaz, C
7. Andy LaRoche, 3B
8. Wilson, SS
9. Ohlendorf, P

Nationals' lineup:

1. Guzman, SS
2. Johnson, 1B
3. Zimmerman, 3B
4. Dunn, RF
5. Willingham, LF
6. Harris, CF
7. Hernandez, 2B
8. Bard, C
9. Detweiler, P

This is a big series for the Buccos. They cannot afford to lose this series heading into interleague play. The Nats have some big sticks but really lack pitchers. Hopefully we don't add to the STBHOF.

If we get through
1. Guzman, SS
2. Johnson, 1B
3. Zimmerman, 3B
4. Dunn, RF
their lineup takes a big drop off from there. Those are the key outs. Guzman #1, Zimmerman #2, Johnson #3, and Dunn #4(just because he is always a canadite for a K).

Morgan is being rested another game. According to the stats, the Nationals are in the top five in every offensive category.

Young will be in RF and Monroe will be in LF.

I hardly think of Detwiler as a STBHOF candidate. He was the 6th overall pick (yes, right after Weiters) in 2007. This is his career debut, so we SHOULD rough him up, but I would not expect him to fall into the crappy pitcher category.

To think, if DL had insisted on getting a LH pitcher over Weiters, had he only gone with the consensus BEST LH pitcher, we would have this guy.

And he'd be just starting his rehab from Tommy John Surgery some time next week...

Did you see Ohle's response on replay? We talked about this at the opener No. 9. Luckily I caught this between periods of the Pens game.

Working the "last channel" part of my remote hard tonight.

Go Bucs! 7-5

D. Young drove in Moss from second for the 7th run. Freddy now batting. He flies out to RF. 2 outs with Young on 1B. NDog drives in Young with a triple! 8-5 Bucs!

I have to say - with the exception of the blackout rules - I find MLB.TV to be fantastic. Am watching the game on the internet with the Bucco announcers but bounced over to replay the broadcast of the Nationals' announcers on Jack Wilson's incredible play. Those guys were stunned. "Ridiculous" was the word used. Lots o' fun.

I just got home and checking what has happened on Game Day ... I see that both McLouth and Diaz were hit by pitches ... any tension after any of this?

I like Robinzon Diaz behind the plate. Catching a good game tonight.
BTW, I don't want Gorzo coming into the game with Dunn having the chance to tie it. C'mon Chavez!!

Gorzo making his (relief) season debut. Living in Cincinnati, I have seen the big donkey tie way too many ballgames to be comfortable in this situation.

Nope. Both guys were hit in situations where it was apparent that it was not intentional. No evil looks, no warnings. Nothing like that at all.

I have a bad feeling about Gorzo v. Dunn.
