This game could put you to sleep. Not only was there a rain delay, but it has been slow moving also.

Also Angel Hernandez is nothing but a thug.

Snell was throwing pretty well, but made a couple of really bad pitches and the Rockies did not miss. He gets away with no mistakes, it seems.

Jessie Chavez with the filthy change-up to Helton. Where has that been? We better see it again. He was hitting his spots at 94-95 and then threw a change at 85 that dropped down and away from Helton, who waved at it.

Good at bats by Moss, who stung the ball twice. Andy had a flare to CF and a frozen rope to left. Hit two RBI singles.

McLouth has become a dead pull hitter. His hits to LF are flares off the end of the bat. I would like to see him drive a ball to left-center, like he did with some regularity last year.

Delwyn Young is a decent hitter. His two-run single was a big hit.

Capps was obviously a bit nervous against the first batter. Then he started throwing strikes, and his control became better as the inning went on. He hit knee-high corner for strike one against Tulowitzki. Good to see.

Another game with 10+ hits for the Pirates. The only difference is this time we were able to turn it into runs. Today against the Rockies we had 7 runs on 11 hits, yesterday we had 1 run on 12 hits. That goes to show its not always how you are hitting, its how to take advantage of your opportunities and tonight the Pirates did.

Great to see the bullpen pitch well, and the stat of the night is this... 2-out RBI's - D Young 2, N McLouth.

Also Meek, Chavez, Grabow, and Capps didn't give up 1 hit. We no hit them for the last 4 innings.

Negative of the night is... We are still letting the other teams make the best of their opportunities, the Rockies scored 4 runs on only 6 hits.

I asked for it, and it happened. Nate smoked a ball to left-center for an RBI double. After the game, he told DK:

"'I'm getting there," McLouth said. "I was a little pull-happy early in the season, but I feel pretty decent right now.'"
