McCutchen went 4-5 last night, with a double and 3 singles. He is 9 for his last 14 with 1 walk and 0 K's over that time. His hitting is now at .297/.362/.508. For the season, he has 8 2B's, 8 3B's and 1 HR. His 17 XBH in 128 at bats is impressive.

He has also drawn 13 walks, compared to 10 K's. Players who walk more than they K in the minors tend to have better walk rates in the majors, since they understand the strike zone.

I hope they don't rush and move him up though, because before this hot streak he was only hitting 257/.328/.451.
Let him grow where he is at, because those numbers that you posted Bucfan show a good young player growing into a good major leaguer. He's not a major leaguer yet so i think he needs to stay down until September.
Great to hear he has stepped it up though. Next i would like to see him start stealing some more bases.

He and AA shortstop Brian Friday are tearing things up. Friday's average is up over .400. Sadly, Alvarez is hugging the Mendoza line at .200...

Friday is hitting .421, due to his incredibly hot start and the past three games, where he went 5-12. His OBP is .511.

McCutchen singles in his first AB tonight, meaning that he is 10 for his last 15, with 3 2B's, a 3B, 6 runs scored and 4 RBI. Now that is hot.

Friday is doing amazing. I would like to hear what curveradio thinks of how he has preformed. He couldn't have exspected this.
