Three questions:
(1) Can the Pirates acheive a split with the Cardinals over the next two games (Pineiro v. Ohlendorf; Boggs v. Karstens)?
(2) Can the Pirates "get healthy" when facing the 13-18 Rockies and the 10-21 Nationals over the following seven days?
(3) If "yes" to (2), what will be the record? If "no" to (2), what will be the record?

I say "yes" to Number 1.
I say "yes" to Number 2.
I say 5-2 against Rockies and Nationals.

Why? Who the "f" knows? But I'm hoping upon hope to see a 19-22 team when I see them play the Sox on Friday May 22 (looks like Duke will be on the mound).

Yes . . . that annual rite of late Spring at which time the Bucs dive head first into the shallow tank. :(

As for predictions? If you can't get healthy in this stretch, you ain't gonna.

1. Yes...Ohlendorf will deliver tonight. Karstens will do alright, but will not have the run support.
2. Buccos take two out of three with the Rockies and sweep the Nationals.
3. See #2

We got to Boggs bad last time, so i think Karstens will get the run support. I say we get 1 more against the Cards if the bullpen can hold. So we win that series 2-1

The Rockies have bench depth and i think they will beat up our bullpen. So i think we go 1-2 against the Rockies.

Plus the Nationals series being a 4 gamer i don't think we can sweep them. I think we take it 3-1.

So over this 10 game stretch i think we go 6-4.

Heard on the radio tonight, Jim Tracy is the Rockies bench coach...

Some friends of mine are going Saturday they are talking about taking a sign saying 'Welcome back to Pittsburgh, and Thanks for ruining Gorzo'
