11 hits, evenly distributed, and we can't manufacture a single run.

[PUT IN DATE HERE]

The Pirates offense struggled [today/tonight] against [NAME OF STARTER HERE], and managed to score just [ ] runs. The game featured several opportunities for the Pirate offense to log a big hit and close the gap, but [NAME OF PLAYER HERE. DEFAULT NAME = ADAM LAROCHE] could not deliver when needed as he left [ ] runners on base. As a result, the offense could not put together a multiple-run inning.

The game also featured a spotty starting effort by [NAME OF PIRATE STARTER HERE], who labored through [ ] innings while throwing [ ] pitches.

The Pirates hope to break the [ ] game losing streak tomorrow against [NAME OF OPPOSING STARTER], who sports an ugly [ ] record and [ ] ERA. However, [NAME OF CRAPPY STARTER] has had success against the Pirates in the past, including this year.

Has anyone else noticed that McLouth has cooled off lately? May isn't over and already he has lost 101 points off his batting average and 214 points off his OPS since the last game of last month.

Yeah, but he wasn't going to be hitting as miraculously as his amazing start forever. No one will. But he's still hitting regularly. He had a double tonight (that of course got wasted), went 3-5 in one game against the Cubs (including a game-winning HR in the 9th), drew 3 walks in another game against the Cubs, and had a hit in both games of the St. Louis series.

McLouth is the least of or worries.

Seeing who the author of the post is, I have now realised that I may have missed some irony.
