If the Pirates were a football team...

I'd want Ty Wigginton back to block for Nyjer Morgan

I have way too much time on my hands.

O-Line
JVB at quick (left) tackle, Tyler Yates at quick (left) guard, Ronny Paulino at center, Matt Stairs at strong (right) guard, Brad Eldred at strong (right) tackle, and Nady at tight end.

Backfield
QB: Nate
FB: Matt Capps
HB: Nyjer Morgan
WR1: Ian Snell (think Steve Smith)
WR2: Don Kelly

We would also draft a kick-off specialist every year with our first-round pick.

Jason Bay is a big guy with some speed. He could play TE or perhaps "possession" WR, ala Hines.

I don't really see Bay going across the middle.

He ran over the catcher against Houston last year to win a 15 inning game.

Meanwhile, we have Ronnie Paulino at center . . . he avoids contact like an obsessive/compulsive with a cleaning fetish, visiting the dump.

Jacob Brumfield could have been our Strong Safety...

Remember that hit on Dave Clark he had, breaking Clark's collarbone?

The rest of the CFers could be punters since we have had so many come and go...

Pennyfeather, Adrian Brown, Duffy, Allensworth, Hermansen, Tike...

Tike Redman as a punter, I can just picture that now.

Mark Johnson would probably be the QB and wasnt Al Martin a Running Back in college?

I think Mike LaValliere is the Nose Tackle

Maybe if we were a football team, J.R. House would still be around...

I'd probably put him at LO. Left Out.

Doesn't Ryan Doumit deserve a spot in the lineup? For instance, he could platoon with Wigginton at fullback. At least until he gets hurt.

You have to put Paulino at wide reciever, don't you? He already is one.

I was going to put him as my TE but I decided to not do a full line-up.

Guys, aren't we forgetting the defense? Who'll make up the D-line, linebackers, and secondary?
