Brian Bixler is absolutely worthless right now. I know that some here say that a strikeout is no different than any other out but 12 Ks in 15 ABs is simply unacceptable. He doesn't have a chance in hell of reaching base at this point.

Brandon Moss isn't far behind right now.

He is a much, much worse hitter right now than Zach Duke or Paul Maholm.

still not gonna be enough, moss is a joke, along with hinskie.

Smizik in today's Post Gazette..."Russell said this of his offensively challenged team, '...I'm even more confident in my lineup than last year when we had JASON BAY AND XAVIER NADY...we've got people who can hit...'

"...What little credibility Russell had concerning the makeup of his team VANISHED with that RIDICULOUS statement".

In today's Post Gazette, Bob Smizik's Blog.

Yeah, I TOTALLY expected him to say "Man I hate our farking lineup. Every player on our roster sucks. They should be giving handjobs in the Arbys parking lot for cash cuz they certainly can't play baseball."

Throwing your players under the bus is always the best way to get them to play hard for you.

Given that some of them are, apparently, "squeezing the bat too tight," maybe that's not such a great idea...
