Is Freddie out because of his shoulder?

Probably just a day off because of the shoulder, the flights to St. Louis and then to New York...

I dont think its anything more than a day of rest...

Smizik in today's Post Gazette..."Russell said this of his offensively challenged team, '...I'm even more confident in my lineup than last year when we had JASON BAY AND XAVIER NADY...we've got people who can hit...'

"...What little credibility Russell had concerning the makeup of his team VANISHED with that RIDICULOUS statement".

Right. It's not like Hinske's has a solid six year big-league career with a career OPS of .773 or anything like that. He's a joke.

No... what the joke is, is fans who give up on players after only 20 some games. I guess its a good thing you aren't the GM.

If I'm not mistaken, that is Mr Ohlendorf's first career base hit. Someone save that ball!

Chuck Tanner would've had Ohlendorf steal second base.

Hey, why not? It might be the best chance the Pirates have to get someone to second all day.

Moss takes a mighty cut!.... and the ball dribbles down to the first baseman.

We suck.

Brian Bixler is absolutely worthless right now. I know that some here say that a strikeout is no different than any other out but 12 Ks in 15 ABs is simply unacceptable. He doesn't have a chance in hell of reaching base at this point.

Why anyone would actually write his name into the starting lineup is beyond me.
