We aren't playing very well right now, but I like our chances against this line up minus "sprained Ankiel". Pitch around Albert, Duke!!!

The Cards have lost a couple in a row, too.

I figured they'd have given Freddy the night off after his shoulder thing lastnight and a trip to St. Louis in the same evening...I imagine Young will get a start at 2nd sometime this away trip because of the Pittsburgh to St Louis for 2 games then to New York...

Seems like the scheduling away trips for the Pirates are always real shitty...

1:1 in the bottom of the 2nd - and that's not the hockey game that's the Pirates.

Wehner is really laying in to McLouth for not gunning Duncan at the plate. Its his view that with the pitscher due up nexsht, McLouth should have been antishipating Duncan would tag even on the shallow fly.

My God this is embarrassing. This team SUCKS SO BAD!

This pitcher is horrible, and we've managed to score one run. I am certain that if no Pirate ever swung tonight we would have scored more than that, because he would have walked in more than 1 guy.

Duke throws fat pitches at the wrong time.

McClouth can't throw a guy out on a popup behind second.

Adam LaRoche couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag right now.

WE SUCK!!!!!

Well we got Boggs out of the game. I didn't make a good call in one of my fantasy leagues where i started both Duke and Boggs.

I feel your pain. Started Duke myself in both of my NL only leagues.

You know, I really hate Ryan Braun and Fielder, but I really really REALLY hate Tony LaRussa. Almost enough to make me root for the Cubs to win the division (but not quite).

I'm still holding out hope that Duke can stay in alittle longer to get a quality startv for the stats.

He gave up 4 earned. That can't qualify for a quality start.

At least the WHIP is good.

Even if he did give up 4 runs if he pitches 6 innings doesn't that count as a quality start?

Nope. A QS is 6 IP or more with 3 ER or fewer.

When are teams going to give up on Khalil Green and realize he is never going to live up to what they thought he would account to.

That blows. baseloaded with 1 out and Freddy ground into a double play on the first pitch.

The Pens are in a great game right now in a must win. 2-2 in overtime.

Man, I wish I could watch some hockey now. My wife didn't pay the cable bill so I'm missing the playoffs.

Meanwhile BBF, I had a good laugh with your Wehner voice, but the Cardinals don't bother me. They were my mom's fave team. And the Cubs.. I will be thrilled if they win nothing in my lifetime.
