in 3 of their last 4 games, wow, GET MOSS OUT OF THE LINEUP PUT MONROE IN, this is getting rediculous.

Look, Steve Blass said it right: It's not us, it's that Johnny Cueto. He's like Cy Young, Whitey Ford, and Sandy Koufax, all rolled into one!

Moss is part of the "Quality Depth" we traded for last year. So is Karstens.

Naw, it wasn't a salary dump, or anything like that....

I am not giving up on Moss, but at some point he has to hit or he will no longer be given the chance.

Monroe has legit pop in his bat and I think he will continue to produce.

Maybe we trade Moss for our new #5 starter? Has to be somebody lurking in AAA or long relief...

Question: How many of you were asking the same action taken against Andy LaRoche earlier this spring? How many wanted Adam's butt down?

Moss has not played in five straight games this season. He needs some time to feel comfortable and you guys won't give it to him cause you want a one year guy to play instead.

Gutta think long term.

I don't know if Karsters will ever develop. He has to get more control.

I agree completely. They're jerking him around.

However, I'm still disappointed. His OPS is something like .500, which is pathetic even for a middle infielder, let alone a right fielder. He's still below 100 PAs this year, so some patience is needed, but he hasn't shown anything to be hopeful about so far.

Perhaps if that Jason Bay fella was signed to a major league baseball contract, instead of the owner dumping his salary and then spinning it to the fans, we might not have been shutout 3 of the last four games.

Just saying.

His control is average, but I think his real problem is that he pitches to contact and gives up a ridiculous amount of fly balls. He's been much worse with that this year. He's never going to be more than a borderline fifth starter.

Perhaps. Doesn't guarantee a win in any of those three games though. I see little justification to hold onto Bay just so the team can suck less.

Just sayin'.

Seriously? We trade a guy who has done nothing and expect to get back someone who is a better #5 option than anybody in our organizaion?? I highly doubt that.

I never expected Brandon Moss to be the second coming of Adam Dunn, but he's been nothing short of a huge disappointment since joining the Pirates. And as I'm fine giving him more time, he's looked awful this season.

McCutchen is currently sporting an on base percentage of .309 at AAA (which is lower than Steve Pearce's). I'm not sure he's ready or the current solution.

Adam Dunn sure would've fit in well in right field.

So would have Bobby Abreu. The Pirates missed the ship on both of them. Also wasn't Andre Ethier on the table from the Dodgers in the Bay/Manny trade just so they were sure they would land Manny.
3 top 50 hitters right now and instead we have Brandon Moss.
