Anyone else noting Robbie Grossman's climb since a slow start. Consistantly 2-4 and raising his average to .274 or so.

That is quite a turnaround. He started off something like 1-18, if I recall correctly.

Before players turn it around after really slow starts, the fans frequently unleash grumbling and dissent. However, the panic template is not just something used by Pirates fans, nor is it something new. I know of the story about opening day for the Brooklyn Dodgers. A diehard fan announces that finally, this is the year. The leadoff hitter for the other team hits a home run, and the same fan says, "Maybe next year."
