Some nice stats:

Series to date: 3-1-2.
Getting swept: 0
Road record: 5-4

I don't want to make too much out of one series but Milwaukee has had the Pirates' number for a long time at Miller Park. I'd love to see the Bucco figure out a way to take 2 of 3 from the Brewers heading into the Cardinals series. Would likely serve as a nice dose of confidence. I have no doubt that Milwaukee is looking at the next three games as "get healthy" games.

And, uuuugh, Braden Looper in on the mound tonight. Seems like he always pitches like Cy Young or Christy Mathewson against the Pirates.

I think I heard someone (Teke?) on the post game show last night say we've lost 15 straight at Miller Park. Maybe this is our first real steps towards respectability?

One more fun fact: If the season had ended yesterday, your Pittsburgh Baseball Club would be in the playoffs as the NL wildcard.

Yep. If I'm correct, I had Mr. Looper on the STBHOF list of pitchers. :?

I think this series against the Brewers will be a big test to see if the 2009 Bucco team is for real. Time for some payback Pirates against this Brewer team in Miller Park.
Seize the moment!!!

GO BUCS!!!

Gigantic series. This will tell a lot about this team. Honestly, I would take one out of three as a good sign. Two out of three is a major victory.
