I have that feeling, this is a special team I love the way this team fights, doesnt make excuses, and just plays fundamentally sound baseball! 11-7 I will take it we have lost 15 in a row at Miller. If we can take 1 out there I will be pumped.

I'm really happy the team is playing well. I honestly believe this is for real, that this team is genuinely improved, and is going to have a good year.

But it feels weird. After all these years of knowing nothing but misery and despair, it just feels weird.

"fundamentally sound" is right

The Pirates started ok the past few years, often in spite of themselves (remember them bumbling to an undeserved opening day win against Atlanta last year?)

Not to jinx them, but this is different. They are playing like Major Leaguers. I would love a pennant race, but am not going to get ahead of myself.

When looking at their run differnetial, it's difficult to not get excited about this team. They are not just getting lucking and having a fortunate 18 game run. They are beating teams. Can they keep it up? I'm not sure. But I think we can all agree this team is much better than we originally thought. Duke, Ohlendorf, Sanchez, or Morgan. Which is on the top of your list of pleasant surprises?
