He may be the worst #2 hitter in the history of baseball.

Very good start to the game. Good bounce back for Duke, so far. Hope I didn't just jinx it.

End of 5th up 6-0. This is great. The Pens wore me out today and I wonder if it did for everyone else too.

So far this is exactly the type of game we needed. Comfortable 6 run lead into the 6th. Duke cruising on a low pitch count. Bunching our hits. Fun game to watch.

8-1 Bucs in the bottom of 7th... Glad to see Monroe get the start and he is producing in the 3 hole.

7th inning stretch. 8-1 ball game. Almost midnight. I'm the only loser on the board posting. Sleepy. Think I'm going to shut down. My notes:

* Duke looks like the Duke from his first two starts.
* Andy LaRoche hits two doubles, one to right, one to left. He's really starting to find his stroke, which is a pretty one at that.
* Morgan turned a double into a triple in the 5th on a bad route to the left/center gap. Nate probably could run the proper route there and still not get to it either.
* Freddy really looks like the Freddy of 2006. Good to see him turning the double play smoothly again also.
* JJ is having real nice at bats. I'm sure the pitchers will adjust eventually, but he's not doing this with smoke and mirrors. I like what I see from his so far.
* San Diego really, really, really sux.

Tonight's game was an absolute joy to watch. That was one of the more complete games I've seen the Buccos play in years. And to think, they did it without their three top players!

Great game no complaints, but this does prove the point. People love to b!tch. Look how many replies there was to last nights game when we got slammed and tonight when we slammed them.

I wouldn't call 4-3 a "slamming" by any means.

I dont know about you guys, but I got slammed Friday night and Saturday night...I played a solo gig at a bar from 6 to 9, then was going to check out a band at my favorite watering hole and their PA system died on them, so I let them borrow my equipment and the bar owner said my tab was on the house...I'm glad I live two blocks away, I left my car at the bar and enjoyed the walk at 2:30 in the morning home...Public Drunkeness is better than a DUI...

Then I played with some friends lastnight at place, and was fairly 2 sheets to the wind, because I hitched a ride in with them...

My tour of Central Pennsylvania ends today, as I'm getting ready to go Bass for a Johnny Cash cover band...

That was due in large part to the fact that Mrs. Bucfan and I went to a fund-raising dinner, so I was not contributing my usual 20 posts.

I'll have to keep an eye open next time I head to the home town in Du Bois.
