...by beating Scottsdale CC yesterday 6-5. Not bad for a first year program. They finish up against Gateway CC Friday and Saturday. Playoffs begin next Thursday with best of 3 series next weekend and the weekend after. They have all home games as long as they keep winning. Winner of the two weekend series goes to beautiful Enid< Oklahoma for the NJCAA D II World Series. Go Pumas.

I had a case in Okie City last year that resulted from an Enid resident reaching into a pellet mill at Robert's Ranch in Enid and left him fingerless on one hand. Went to Enid a couple of times for witness interviews and product inspections. With all due respect to the folks in Enid, I don't really care if I ever get there again. Nice people though. Friendly and down-to-earth. Just not much to do and out in the middle of nowhere. Can't miss Robert's Ranch . . . it has the tallest structures in town.

Good luck to No. 1 son and the rest of the crew. Gotta be proud Dad moments . . . .

Congrats, Az! I see the club they beat is ranked in the Top 10 nationally.

Cool.. I just now noticed that your son's hobby is the same as mine!

Anyway our local community college also competes in NJCAA Div. II. It's good baseball. I've noticed that games played against non-member schools don't count against their records. Cuyahoga Community College is officially 3-21 but that record doesn't include almost twenty games against JV clubs of NCAA or NAIA schools.

Pretty impressive for a new program. Maybe they set the bar too high?

Because of the large conference and cold weather schools wanting to come down here to get early games in, the locals don't play many games against college JV teams. Grand Canyon, a D II 4 year school does it a little but that is it.
