Gammons made a comment last night on "Baseball Tonight" about how all teams had poor attendance the past few days. He blamed the economy and crappy weather with an emphasis on the weather.

I can't believe that we are making fun of another team ... Pirates fans, making fun of Marlins fans. :?

And I also cannot believe that I am adding to the hilarity. A photo of an actual Marlins game:

Maybe someone should have told Peter that the Pens had a playoff game last night too.

The Pirate Blog mentioned Doumit hopes he can catch a starter's bullpen session in a few weeks...

I wonder if he will call Hines Ward and see if he can rent Ward's hyperbaric chamber!

You cannot stop Jason Jaramillo, you can only hope to control him.

Peter Gammons has nude pictures of Bombo Rivera in his wallet. I am so sick of that hare lipped , Boston scumbag.
It is always a treat, when someone says something positive about the Sox, that he replies buy spraying drool all over himself.

Where did that come from. Are you talking about the Bombo Rivera that played for the Expos?
I don't really care for Gammons because he seems to be alittle full of himself but he has been one of the more accurate analysts in the game today. I can put poor attendance on a number of things, the 2 things Gammons said and i will add to that, alot of towns have a team also in the NBA or NHL playoffs and make traffic horrible. I know when i have attended Pirate games this season i have made sure the Penguins weren't playing the same night. But i believe things will come around say June to July.

You mean like when he predicted Kris Benson would win the Cy Young a few years back?

Peter Gammons is old and feeble-minded and going through the motions.

And he is one of the reasons The MLB Network has flown by Baseball Tonight as the baseball show of choice for highlights and insight. The only...ONLY reason I might tune into Baseball Tonight is to watch Kruk, he makes me laugh. I enjoy him, he's real.

I met Kruk once when he was the 1st base coach for Reading when they played the Curve...Got him to sign my Atlas for my Geography Class, the Prof had a thing if you got your Atlas signed by a famous celebrity he'd give you an A or B based on the status of the celebrity and you didnt need to go to class the rest of the season...He was a Phillies fan, and my C went to an A and didn't have to get up at 8 am for the last month of the semester...

I don't know how you guys can't like John Madden then, because John Kruk is to baseball what John Madden is to football. Just not legacy wise as of yet. He uses the same philosophy as madden does.
I do like Kruk though, he just doesn't "Boom" or do Rent-A-Center commercials.

Kruk is a studio guy.....Madden in a booth guy.

Go listen to Kruk on one of the few occassions he gets in the booth. He's very understated and tries like hell not to get in the way of the game. Madden didn't give a damn about the game, it was all about Big John.
