Well, off to work, so I cannot stick around for the end, but so far so good. Nice offensive output from many sources, and a very nice game for DUKE!

Go Bucs!

Heard an interview over the weekend with the Marlins manager who was saying how happy he was that Paulino would be serving as the backup catcher. Not a bad start for the "utter dog crap" with a double and a triple: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.js ... 1#boxscore

Doumit had two really good at bats, but then became impatient in his 3rd AB. The Cards tried to walk him with offspeed pitches in the dirt x3, but he would not take the walk. He fanned on the last one.

Doumit will become a bit more selective and then be an even better hitter.

Nice observation. That third strike was about 2 inches off the ground. I'm thinking his youthful exhuberance had something to do with it. Everyone was hitting so he got caught up in the frenzy. His ABs got more uncontrolled as the game progressed.
