That's not a bad lineup, though I would've liked to see a flip-flop of Vazquez and Moss.

Here's the lineup I want to see on Thursday afternoon:

1. Nyjer Morgan, LF
2. Freddy Sanchez, 2B
3. Nate McLouth, CF
4. Adam LaRoche, 1B
5. Craig Monroe, RF
6. Eric Hinske, 3B
7. Jack Wilson, SS
8. Jason Jammarillo, C
9. Ross Ohlendorf, P

Well if Freese doesn't have a good night tonight he has probably given the 3rd base job to Joe Thurston. I think this is one of the best position battles going on right now. There are 2 other position battles that are close the 3rd outfielder for the Braves and the 3rd outfielder for the Rangers but i think one of these two 3rd basemen for the Cardinals are going to have a breakout season this year.

Now, I'm sure that Andy Laroche sitting is just a nice day off as well as Russell's plan to get the bench going, but if Laroche continues to struggle, is that Walker's chance?

Well, Doumit got off the scheid only for the ball to go over the fence and cost the Pirates a run. Of course, Adam L. stranded the runners.

Let's see if Zach can stay away from that awful 1st inning.

Nate needs to stop trying to pull balls on the outside corner. The Cards are going away, away, away, away vs. Nate and Doumit.

And Zach walks the leadoff batter. Sigh.

Not too bad of a start for Duke.

Duke doing a nice job of of busting inside. Last year he seemed to always be outer half.

Brandon Moss in the mix now too. Good to see. Confidence breeds success.

Duke getting Pujols on one pitch to open the 4th. Very nice.

This is my first chance to actually watch a game this year. Who's the new announcer? I'm liking this guy a lot.
