Purchased new running shoes online. "Why is this relevant to the Pirates forum?", you ask? I respond, "Shut the ..." No, sorry, I respond, look at these rocking shoes and you will see:

Black & Gold, baby, Black & Gold!!

P.S. Son won his second varsity game tonight in relief. He will be starting a game in an upcoming tournament next week during school's Easter break.

Just hope they aren't like the Pirates and fall apart a month into the season.

Making light of Bucfan's joyous acquisition, while simultaneously working in the Pirates' deficiencies ... Colin, you are off to a strong start and in running for rookie poster of the year.

I just hope that you are not putting up an Adrian Brown-Tike Redman-Chris Duffy start, only to be followed by something analogous to their well-known fizzle.

Colin....I think you had to average 3.1 posts per game last year to lose your rookie status. This also means you are not eligible for free agency until 2015.

We run off of a fiscal year, based on anniversary date. It's in the handbook.

Nice shoes

Colin, I'm be very careful at this point. Wrong moves now could result in being optioned to Keaton's board and never heard from again.

The only black and gold I have MUST say Pittsburgh, Pirates, or both. Around here if it's black and gold it might get confused with a team that shall not be named.

Be quite No. 9...

Thank you, Brad - exactly right. Colin's September call-up did not void his eligibility for rookie poster of the year.

No problem here - I have been a Steelers fan since 1971.

These were my old shoes - they wore out, explaining the recent purchase. I was somewhat disappointed in the arch support on this shoe; also, the pronation control needs work.

Plus, this brand did not still have the "Dora the Explorer" model.

Joggings for suckers. Too hard on the joints. I'm more into creating a fusion of the mind and the body. Here's a picture of me heading out to my Pilates class......

Good one IA!
I actually possess a pair which look very similar which are worn religiously on Saturdays in the Fall.
So . . . . are we on for the rumble at Jack Trice in September? BTW, did you see the latest on Ferentz's son, James? Not the publicity that he was seeking. Predictably, the Kinnick haters are calling for him to be kicked off the team and for Kirk to be fired.

We certainly are on! I don't know why people are so angry, it's only been 25 arrests for the Iowa football team since December of '07. It's not a problem until we reach 30. ;)

Iowa City Police are far more reluctant to sweep those problems under the rug than are the Ames Police. And, to be honest, "arrest" is not an accurate description of what happens when you are charged with underage possession. One receives a "ticket" and doesn't spend the night in the slammer.
