Polanco must still be out...man, when some of these guys get back, I hope the first ones to go are Jaso and Hanson. Option Gift, too. Bring up Bostick and Moroff for a couple months. Get them some ABs. They are raking the crap out of it in AAA.

Did you read the article on Bucs Dugout? Because he said the same thing.

If you get rid of Jaso you make a thin roster even thinner. I probably would stop playing him in the outfield, but I would keep him to back up first and pinch hit.

Hanson they should just dump. If they weren't going to give him playing time when Freese and Frazier were injured, they never are. A team playing for draft position doesn't need to waste a roster spot on a pinch runner.

With Polanco out I would give Frazier and Osuna the playing time in the outfield and I agree bring up Bostick.

Josh Bell with a 3 run homer. Bucs lead 3-0. Gerrit Cole gets to pitch with a lead for once.

C'mon, boys. Finish Strong. And I take back what I said about Jaso. Keep him out of right field, but he's okay off the bench. Good eye.

Cutch showing some of the old pizzazz tonight. Beats out a possible DP ball and steals third. Has a hit, too.

Clint Hurdle just took Josh Bell out of the game after hitting a go ahead 3 run homer.

Wow.

And he made a nice play earlier in the game.....but you know you have to get your big hitters out of the game so we have nobody if it goes xtras......forgot, it's sabremetrics.....

But that's the thing ... Sabremetrics would NEVER support removing what is arguably the team's best hitter, unless the club is leading or losing by at least 8 runs.

EVER.

It's just Hurdle's @#$%ing thing. It started with Pedro/SRod in 2014, and he has been simply unable to modify his stance.

It was a brilliant move. You shorten your bench, weaken your lineup, and undermine the confidence of an up and coming potential star player. And you give playing time to a veteran who is nearing the end of the line.

Could you imagine any other team doing this?
