The game was going well, but then the Bad News Bears kicked in.

Clint outsmarts himself again...."well I woke up last night and thought Jaso would be a good fit in RF despite having only played one game there before...seemed like a good idea at the time."

They are trying to make Jaso into Sean Rodriguez. He's not.

Jaso shouldn't even be on the roster. He has such limited value to this team. He can really only play first base, and he isn't exactly a gold glover there either. I always laugh when they take Bell out for Jaso later in games. If Bell is your first baseman now and in the future then let him play. Jaso is beyond limited at other positions. At the plate he is....well, not good. He will eventually give you a good pinch hit or two, but is that worth a roster spot???

Two ABs changed the face of the game quickly.
#1- Top 5, 7th place hitter. 2 strikes - checks swing. From radio guys' perspective, even the hitter thought he swung at pitch but umps say "no."
He gets a hit, 8th place hitter gets a hit. Taillon Ks Pineda.
No runs but Yankees roll line up over and have lead-off hitter to start 6th inning.

Bucs score a 3rd run in bottom 5.

#2 - Top 6, after lead-off single, Taillon walks the second place hitter with a 3 run lead. Inexcusable. No need to be too fine there. Make them hit their way on base. After walk, Cervelli talks to Taillon on mound. Next pitch, Castro HR.

One ... the Top 6 should have been #8, #9 and #1 in batting order for Yankees. Two ... Taillon can't issue a walk up 3.

Those two ABs proved to be utterly disastrous.

Don't even get me going on the failure to plate McCutchen after the Bucs rallied to tie the game at 5.

Don't forget the Frazier error too. Inning over. Still tied 5-5.

Bases loaded. Nobody out. Chance to increase the lead. This is where the Pirates usually suck ass.

Now the bullpen will proceed to give up two runs that will win the Yankees the game. Of course, if we would have scored a couple of runs with the bases loaded and zero outs, those two runs would be meaningless.

Once again, the Pirates blow a bases loaded, nobody out situation.

This Pirates' defense is worse than any Pirates' team from 1993-2012.

#RaiseIt

Awful situational hitting and awful defense. That's gotta get batter.

That was a crap win. Except for Nova and Polanco, they all should all be ashamed.

That inning was a microcosm of watching this team. Bases juiced, no outs and don't score.... :o :o :o :o :o

It's worse than that- bases loaded, no one out, and the top of the order and we don't score!
