About damn time, IA!

Now, I'm not feeling so pessimistic about this series. I'm not optimistic, but now we have hope!

What a great AB for Freese! After the Buccos saw only eight pitches total in the 1st inning, Freese ripped an RBI double on the 12 pitch of his AB. Beauty!

What an at-bat by Freese. 12 pitches, doubling Hendricks' pitch total, then slaps a double down the first base line, scoring Polanco from second.

I swear I could live to be 150 and I still wouldn't live long enough to see a Pirates team good at base running. Or even fair.....

They are bad at baserunning - Harrison got picked off by a mile at first, costing his team a run.

Bad at controlling the running game - Noted speedster Anthony Rizzo stole third uncontested.

And their outfield defense is way worse than last year.

And they are 1-6 with RISP so far today.

Does anyone doubt that the Pirates are going to piddle-fuck this game away?

Cervelli fails to bring run in, Harrison blows another run, should be 3-0 instead it's 1-0.

Sound familiar? Yeah, yesterday.

And every day, it seems.

If Kang comes back does he play 3rd over Freese or 2B over Harrison?

I'm growing irritated at Cutch swinging at 3-0.

He is not playing 2B. Kang plays 3B, Frazier plays 2B, Harrison can get his ass picked off once per month as a bench player, Freese plays some 1B, some 3B, pinch-hits, and improves the bench.

You sure about that?

Kang played SS in 2015. He got his knee wrecked by that @#$%er Coughlan. He did not play an inning at SS last year. He has never played 2B.

So yes, I'm sure.

What was that? A base hit with a man in scoring position?! WOW!

Nice hit from Cervelli, but I'm convinced there's something in the water at PNC. Guys put on the Bucco uniform and instantly forget what they're supposed to do on the basepaths.

It was nice to see Cole not give it back with the Pirates taking the lead.

Good start from Cole today. Thats not an easy lineup to face. 6 innings, 2 runs. Well done.

114 pitches today for Cole. Will be interesting to see how that effects him going forward. Just going off memory here but I believe he's declined a bit after those types of outings.

I don't know. Define "piddle-fuck."
